We had an increased entry of 40 bowlers from across the Algarve, Holland and the UK competing in the competition with the vast majority travelling from the UK. The standard of bowling on display was excellent and we were blessed with good weather. Following an initial round-robin stage the bowlers were streamed into two groups - one group continuing in the Tournament won by Craig Walsh and the other in a subsidiary Shield won by Peter Wrigley. The week ended with a very enjoyable drawn doubles competition won by Steve Mellis and Kevin Sargeant. The 2025 Tournament will run from 24th to 28th February and entry details will be available on the Club website (www.alvorbowlsclub.com).

Alvor Bowls Club welcomes visitors and new members playing both flat green and crown green bowls and full details can be found on the website. Tuition and equipment can be provided for new bowlers. Crown green bowls takes place at the Club every Tuesday afternoon.
