In a statement, the structure led by Vice Admiral Henrique Gouveia e Melo said that, as part of the vaccination of teaching and non-teaching staff, more than 71,000 people were notified by SMS or by telephone contact.
From an initial group of around 78,700 users linked to the education sector, those who had already been vaccinated in other contexts, pregnant women and those who had already contracted Covid-19 were excluded, said the task force.
In total, 60,334 vaccines against the SARS-CoV-2 virus were administered over the weekend, 46,182 of which on Saturday and the remaining 14,152 on Sunday.
The same source said that around 2,000 users will still be vaccinated in primary health care, because they belong to municipalities with a low rate of teachers and non-teaching staff eligible to receive the vaccine, where "there was no justification to resort to rapid vaccination structures".
"It is estimated that around 2 percent of electronic vaccination records will be inserted in the next 72 hours, increasing, predictably, the number of vaccinated users by about 1,400 more," says the coordination of the vaccination plan.
About the "occasional cases" of people who did not have the opportunity to be vaccinated and that were later identified, the task force assured that they will be scheduled for this week or for the weekend of 10 and 11 April.
"This vaccination process, which began last weekend, will be completed in April, with the vaccination of teachers and non-teaching staff in kindergartens and secondary schools," said the structure.
Why make a task force to vaccinate teachers ??
When it is persons over 70 that dies of Covid19.
age should be number one factor for priority

I agree with you, Gustav. There are people from the first group still not vaccinated. This is mismanagement!
