IPMA also placed the districts of Viseu, Porto, Guarda, Vila Real, Viana do Castelo, Braga, Castelo Branco, Aveiro and Coimbra under a yellow warning due to the forecast of temporarily strong wind with gusts of up to 70 kilometres per hour, being up to 90 kilometres per hour in the highlands.
The yellow wind warning will be in effect between 9:00pm on Friday and 6:00am on Saturday.
