The project, which has a partnership with the University of Coimbra, aims to develop “innovative and sustainable materials”, for sectors such as “electronic materials, batteries, vehicles, construction, packaging, plastics, textiles and food, at an unprecedented level.” The challenge is to create recyclable materials, by the hand of “50 analytical research infrastructures from the European ARIE network”.

According to the statement, in supermarkets, various foods such as fruit and vegetables are packed in plastic. However, it is expected that in the future "bio-based materials" made of wood will be used. In this context, ReMade@ARI carries out research aimed at "developing new sophisticated materials". Thus, the specialists integrated in the project are working on "analytical tools" that allow the "properties and structure" of the materials to be studied in detail.
