The company, which is headquartered in Madrid and listed on
the Lisbon stock exchange, says that "solid" and "robust"
results in the first three quarters of the year were "mostly"
influenced by rising sales prices and energy production.
EDP Renováveis (EDPR) revenues in this period were 1,743
million euros and increased 46% compared to the first nine months in the past,
with the company explaining that the average sale price increased by 29%,
"especially in Europe".
EDPR also had “other operating income” of 331 million euros,
129 million euros more than in the same period of 2021, due to the transaction
of assets in Poland, Spain and Italy.
Earnings before taxes, interest, depreciation and
amortization (EBITDA) were 1,462 million euros between January and September,
62% more than in the first nine months of 2021.
In this period, the company made a gross investment of 4,401
million euros, 118%.
EDP Renováveis is a subsidiary and 74.98% owned by the
EDP Group (Energias de Portugal), operating in the field of renewable energies.
In 2021, the company reported profits of 655 million euros,
an increase of 18% compared to 2020.
