According to the final results of the Census released by the
National Institute of Statistics (INE), the percentage of the resident
population with higher education was 13.9% in 2011 and reached 19.8% among
people aged 15 or over in 2021, representing a total of 1,782,888 individuals.
Added to these data is the growing share of people with
secondary and post-secondary education, which increased from 16.7% to 24.7% in
the last decade.
In terms of areas of study in higher education, the most
frequent were “Business sciences, administration and law”, with 21.8%, and “Health
and social protection”, with 15.2%.
Conversely, the area of “Agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and veterinary sciences” represented only 2% of people with higher education
last year.
In terms of education, the 2021 Censuses also point to a reduction in the illiteracy rate of the population to 3.1%, corresponding to 292,809 individuals aged at least 10 years without knowing how to read or write, when in 2011 this indicator had a rate of 5.2 % of the population over 10 years old.
Time for civil education to increase as well.

S: I don´t believe that will ever happen around here. People are more than happy to look trendy at some public demo and then forget about causes as they go back to their lives. And since NGOs locally do have GO´s hand shoved all the way inside their a***s,- all the way up to their throats,- I really see no future for a mature, educated Civil mass. (“Come back, Salazar! All is forgiven!”) They´re still being herded by opaque, political agendas. People are happy if an honest person comes along to fight for their rights out of necessity and inclination, but then when s**t hits the fan you´ll see them running for shelter like cockroaches in the dark when light is switched on. They don´t support honest people, therefore they sure as hell do not deserve the fruits of honest people´s labour. You´re asking for some sort of miracle, S. These people who served the public FOR FREE are being persecuted and even prosecuted and these same pseudo NGOs and their inane, ignorant herds couldn´t care less. Need I say more? Three references- 1 old, East, two recent West:
“In most situations, the outward aspect of the lower self differs from the inward. It praises people in their presence, feigning honesty to their face, while in their absence it does the opposite.” Kashani
“It was only natural to want to destroy something you could never have.”, J.F. “W.O.”
“But I knew one more thing. That people who denied who they were or where they had been were in the greatest danger.” Janet Fitch, “White Oleander”

Unfortunately on the other side our entrepreneurs are one of the less educated in the EU.
