The global population of
the one-horned rhino has grown from 200 to 4,000 animals since the turn of the
20th century.
Good news for rhinos
For the first time since
1977, no rhinos were poached in the world’s largest reserve for the greater
one-horned rhino according to Indian police who also reported that 58 poachers
were arrested last year in the Kaziranga national park.
