In Portugal, “the activity rate reached its highest level since 2011. Despite this positive evolution, in recent quarters the unemployment rate has slightly increased, reflecting an increase in the number of people looking for a job", the ministry of finance shared on Twitter and reported by NM.
According to the office of Minister Fernando Medina, the "dynamism of the labour market explains these dynamics that result in the highest level of employment on record and an unemployment rate that remains at historically low levels".
Then let's all hope that these jobs are in their majority paying well enough to live a decent life.

Now Portugal needs high paying jobs. The government missed a trick with the Golden Visas where, rather than investing in property/tourism, they should have been guided to invest in tech, start-ups and industry in general. Or maybe the creation of a number of jobs paying over say 1500EUR for 3 years...
