According to data provided by the SEF, in the first half of this year US investment raised through the Residence Permit for Investment (ARI) program totalled 82.1 million euros, in a total of 176 golden visas granted. This represents a 35% increase in investment compared to the same period in 2022, when the amount was 60.8 million euros, with 124 golden visas granted.

Between January and June, investment from China totalled 50.1 million euros, with 119 ARIs awarded, 1% less than in the first half of 2022 (50.7 million euros and 105 ARIs granted).

In third place this year is the United Kingdom, with an investment of 70.1 million euros and 97 gold visas awarded, entering the ranking of the five nationalities that most invested in the program this year (in the same period it was not on the list).

In fourth place is Brazil, a nationality that obtained 61 'gold' visas during the first six months of the year, for a total of 33.4 million euros. This is an increase of 10% compared to the 30.2 million euros recorded in the first half of 2022 (45 ARI allocated).

Finally, India appears, whose investment totalled 22.4 million euros and 61 ARIs awarded this year, 6.6% more than in the same period last year, when 47 golden visas were granted.

The total investment already exceeds 7,000 million euros, adding up to 7,157,485,864.42 euros last month in cumulative terms, since the program was launched in October 2012. 1,229 to Brazil, 713 to the United States, 592 to Turkey and 550 to South Africa.
