Wednesday, September 27th is a celebration of Portuguese heritage at Oracle Park Stadium in San Francisco. The US national anthem will be performed by a local Portuguese artist, a pre-game on-field performance of traditional Portuguese dancers and special videos on the big screen are just some of the special events planned for the evening that highlight the Portuguese community. Last year the President of the Republic Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa was there to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.


With the purchase of a ticket, there is also a special giveaway beanie. Partial proceeds from the ticket sales will be going to benefit local non-profit Portuguese orginisations including PALCUS (Portuguese American Leadership Council of the United States.
