According to information on the IPMA website, -2ºC is expected in Bragança on Saturday and -1ºC on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day, forecasts point to 0 degrees. The maximum is 9ºC.
In Vila Real, which was covered in ice this Tuesday, a minimum of -1ºC will be felt on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, with a maximum temperature of 8ºC being expected, with a slight drop to 7ºC on the day from Christmas.
In Faro, the scenario is the complete opposite: minimum temperatures will be around 7ºC and maximum temperatures will be around 17ºC. Also in Madeira, a milder climate is expected this season, with minimums between 15ºC and 17ºC and maximums in the region of 20ºC. Temperatures will be similar in the Azores, but rain is expected on Christmas Day.
In continental territory, regarding total weekly precipitation, “values below normal are expected for the entire territory in the weeks from 12/18 to 12/24 (-60 to –10mm) and from 12/25 to 12/31 (-30 to -1mm)”, reads on the IPMA website, which adds that, in turn, “values above normal (+1 to 30mm) are expected for almost the entire territory, with the exception of the Algarve, in the week from 01/08 to 01/14”.
