“The unemployment rate remained, for the third consecutive month, at 6.6%, having increased compared to three months before (0.3 percentage points) and the same month of the previous year (0.1 percentage points)”, noted the National Statistics Institute (INE), which published provisional employment and unemployment data for November.

That month, there were 348,500 unemployed people, a decrease of 1.1% compared to October and an increase of 4% and 3.4% compared to August 2023 and November 2022, respectively.
