The initiative aims to simultaneously train a wide range of participants, including children aged 6 and over, of how to act in situations of cardiorespiratory arrest and choking.

Cardiorespiratory arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies are one of the main causes of death in Europe.

The training sessions will take place on May 25th and 26th, at 5pm. Lasting two hours, sessions are free and limited to a maximum of 100 participants each. Interested parties must register via email at bi@forumalgarve.net , indicating their full name and the date on which they wish to participate.

For Sérgio Santos, director of Forum Algarve, “this initiative, developed in partnership with INEM, is a demonstration of the commitment that Forum Algarve has with the community, welcoming and associating itself with initiatives of important importance and social weight. Bringing together dozens of people and providing them with the knowledge and practice necessary to carry out maneuvers that can save lives is a fundamental contribution that can make a difference in the lives of those who need support in the face of an unexpected situation, which can happen to any of us. ”.

Alongside this initiative, and within the scope of Forum Algarve's internal security plan, a fire drill will also be carried out, followed by an evacuation exercise of the shopping centre. All retailers and visitors are invited to participate in this action, which will take place on May 29th, at 8:30 am.
