The carrier indicated that “flights between Lisbon and Los Angeles will begin on May 16, 2025, and will operate on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays until May 26, from which date a fourth weekly frequency is added on Saturdays and until 25 October”.

"This route will be operated with “Airbus A330-900 aircraft, with capacity for 298 passengers”, he highlighted.

In turn, “flights between Porto and Boston begin on May 14th of next year and are carried out on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays until October 25th”.

The route will be served by Airbus A321-Long Range, with capacity for 168 passengers, the company said.

TAP also announced that “from June 3, 2025, one of TAP's weekly flights between Lisbon and San Francisco, on Tuesdays, will make a stopover in Terceira, thus allowing a new offer from the company, a direct flight between the island of the Azores and California, in order to serve the large Azorean community residing there”.

The airline currently flies from Lisbon to seven US airports: New York, Newark, Boston, Miami, Washington DC, San Francisco and Chicago. From Porto, it flies to Newark.
