It will be sunny, but also colder, with the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) warning that, in the early hours of this Monday, the minimum temperature will drop and the next few days will be "marked by nighttime cooling", with the maximum and minimum temperatures having a "difference of about ten degrees".

"Today, for the North region, we will have a day of partly cloudy or clear skies, with a light to moderate northeast wind. The minimum temperature today registered a drop during the night and maximums without significant change. In the interior, it will vary between 11 degrees in Bragança and 13 in Viseu. On the coast we will have values varying between 17 in Braga and 14 in Aveiro and Viana do Castelo", explained IPMA meteorologist Margarida Gonçalves, on RTP.

The cold can even cause "thermal discomfort", especially at night. During the day, no periods of "heat stress" are expected.

In Lisbon, during this week, temperatures are expected to range between a minimum of 6 degrees and a maximum of 17 degrees. In Porto, thermometers could reach a minimum temperature of 5 degrees and a maximum of 17 degrees on Wednesday, which will be the hottest day of the week.
