The projects in question are the Fado portfolio, made up of three regulated projects in operation and totaling 49 MWp, and the Pombal Power Plant, a regulated 23 MWp power plant for which it will be responsible for commercial operation, detailed Sonnedix, which debuted in Portugal in March last year, according to a report by ECO.

The acquisition of these projects will allow the creation of renewable energy parks with a combined annual production of almost 120,000 MWh, which could cover the electricity consumption of around 40,000 homes per year.

Sonnedix, which has over 3 GW of operational capacity globally, entered the Portuguese renewable energy market in 2022. Among its largest projects is the 150 MW Douro PV wind farm, which reached mechanical completion in early February.

“Portugal is an important and growing market for Sonnedix. With a favorable regulatory environment and stable investment signals, Portugal offers strong opportunities for renewable energy producers. Sonnedix is well positioned to capitalize on this potential,” said Sonnedix CEO Axel Thiemann, quoted in the statement
