This weekend brings a variety of activities such as a Skateboarding Workshop, an Open Day devoted to Surfing, and performances by Carolina Deslandes (April 17), Richie Campbell (April 18), and Ivandro (April 19).

The initiative is organised by the Town Hall, in collaboration with the Albufeira and Olhos de Água Parish Council, and promises to entertain a wide range of individuals, all free of charge!

On April 24, Luís Represas will revisit special moments of his career, reminiscent of his days with the Trovante group, and some of the most successful songs as a solo act. The concert is scheduled to start at 9.30pm at the Albufeira Municipal Auditorium, and tickets are already on sale at the BoL Platform and the João de Leite Bailote Municipal Gallery.

As this month marks the 51st anniversary of the Revolution, the Municipality of Abufeira will be showcasing the “Adriano 80” exhibition, which commemorates Adriano Correia de Oliveira’s 80th anniversary through a series of panels, images and videos. It covers the evolution of the author’s music, from his involvement in the student movement to the fight for democracy and life in hiding. The exhibition, taking place from April 9 to 26 at the Lídia Jorge Municipal Library, is curated by the Adriano Correia de Oliveira Artistic, Cultural and Sports Centre, which has been devoted to promoting the author’s work since 1995.

The Municipal Auditorium will host performances by FUETE – Associação de Dança de Albufeira (April 5), Quarteto Algarve (April 12), and João Galante (April 30). In the Municipal Galleries, highlights include the “Pelos Trilhos do Algarvensis” Photography Exhibition by Rui M. M. Gregório (April 3 to 28) and “Detalhe” Sculpture Exhibition by Andelina Maia (April 7 to May 3 at the João Bailote Municipal Gallery). Until April 30, you can also visit the “Não Quero Morrer Aqui” Photography Exhibition by Carlos Filipe in the Olhos de Água Exhibition Hall.
