The nacelle is the part to which the three wind turbine blades are attached, measuring just 10 metres long by three metres wide and three metres high, and is watertight, sturdy, and even offers protection against lightning.
Currently, there are about 10,000 V80 turbines in use around the world with an average lifespan of 20 to 25 years, and estimates based on International Agency figures forecast that 5,000 will now be decommissioned every year.
