"This measure comes at a time when the daily flow of passengers between these cities has been growing significantly, reflecting the growing regional dynamics in the north of the country".
According to the company, "the growing pressure of the real estate market in large urban areas, particularly in Porto, has led many Portuguese to seek more affordable housing solutions in nearby cities such as Braga and Guimarães".
"This phenomenon creates a new wave of regular passengers, who need daily transport at competitive prices. Between 2024 and 2025, Rede Expressos has already registered an increase of 118% in Braga – Porto trips and 97% in Guimarães – Porto trips".
