In a statement, the Ministry of Internal Administration (MAI) states that more than 100 volunteer firefighters have, since March 23, ensured the operation of temperature control of passengers at Faro and Porto airports in the scope of measures to combat covid -19.
MAI specifies that this task will, from next week, be carried out by ANA - Aeroportos de Portugal.
In the note, MAI thanks all operational staff who, under the coordination of the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority, “contributed to this mission, with the dedication and professionalism that always characterize Portuguese firefighters”.
Are they talking about literally the passengers' body temperatures, or the air temperature? I don't expect the Queen's English, or in-depth articles here, just usable, coherent information.
