According to a document, to which Lusa had access, two burials on the same strip of land are at stake "within 11 days", which Fiães' socialists consider "unjustifiable" and say they demonstrate "the political incapacity and lack of human sensitivity" of the current Executive of the Junta, led by PSD.

Referring to "strong evidence that President Valdemar Ribeiro and his Executive may have committed an illegality or even a crime", the PS warns that, if the MP confirms the criminal responsibility of the Board, the socialist structure "will demand strong political consequences from the Executive PSD, as your resignation".

For the PS, the lack of space in the cemetery is not a justification for burying two people from different families in the same place, which involves emotional shock for their relatives and friends, since in this religious equipment "there are other graves available”.

As it is a decision of mere management, then the interpretation of the PS is that the parish council of Fiães reveals even more "insensitivity" to a procedure that should imply "respect for both families in mourning".

Lusa sought to hear the executive of the Junta de Freguesia de Fiães and the president of that Junta, Valdemar Ribeiro, but this has not been possible so far.

Lusa also questioned the Attorney General's Office about the complaint filed by the PS, but it has not yet indicated the stage of the process.
