The initiative will be unveiled later today on what is also World Children’s Day.

Health officials are aiming to gain access from schools over children who have not been given their recommended vaccinations, which will be followed up by contacting their parents.

This follows the recent death of a teenage girl from measles whose parents had opted against vaccination.
