According to a report by NextGen, more than 220,000 cups were used and returned in the city of 60,000, with 80 percent of respondents saying they wanted the programme to continue.
Launched by the Centre for the Circular Economy, this was designed to reduce the 50 billion disposable cups used by Americans every day.
