The central defender, who represented the Dnipro team, crossed by car across almost the entire country and arrived at the border with Romania this morning, where he is together with some teammates who accompanied him.
Nélson Monte, a 26-year-old player born in Vila do Conde, will now head to the Romanian city of Iasi, from where he will take a flight to Vienna, Austria, to return to Lisbon this evening.
The player had been hired this season by the Dnipro team, from the top level of Ukrainian football, and in recent weeks he was with the group on an internship in Turkey, having returned to Ukraine on Wednesday.
Nélson Monte was accompanied by teammates, including Brazilians Felipe Pires, Bill and Busanelo, and Spaniard Marc Gual, as well as head coach, Croatian Igor Jovicevic.
