The competition to access the 18 daily slots that TAP has at Lisbon airport, after imposition by the European Commission to endorse the restructuring plan, started last Friday, with a decision scheduled for June.
The information was provided to Lusa agency by the German consultancy Alcis, appointed by Brussels to supervise the implementation of the commitments made by Portugal and the TAP group, which in a statement indicates that it has “published an invitation to submit proposals” for the “free transfer of up to 18 daily slots at Lisbon airport for another carrier”.
“Carriers are invited to express their interest […] and to submit their proposals within the established deadlines”, points out Alcis, adding that “the carrier will be selected by the European Commission, following a transparent and non-discriminatory procedure”.
