In maximum danger are the municipalities of Tomar, Vila Nova da Barquinha, Constância, Abrantes, Ferreira do Zêzere (Santarém), Loulé, São Brás de Alportel and Tavira (Faro).

The IPMA also placed several municipalities in the districts of Faro, Lisbon, Santarém, Leiria, Portalegre, Castelo Branco, Guarda, Viseu and Bragança at very high fire danger.

According to the IPMA, the fire danger will remain high in some regions of the continent until at least Saturday.

The IPMA forecasts for today clear or cloudy skies, with small rise in maximum temperatures.

The minimum temperatures will fluctuate between 8 degrees Celsius (in Braga and Viana do Castelo) and 17 (in Faro) and the maximum between 20 (in Porto and Viana do Castelo) and 32 (in Évora, Beja and Castelo Branco).
