In a press release, Metropolitano de Lisboa said that traffic will suffer restrictions due to “the new phase in the works taking place in the Campo Grande area”. To proceed with the works, it is necessary to build a viaduct, so traffic would have to be conditioned in the Lisbon – Odivelas direction, and vice versa, from 22 August to 21 October.
Thus, starting on Monday and for two months, there will be “a repositioning of the narrowing of the carriageway on Avenida Padre Cruz towards Lisbon – Odivelas, with removal of the hard shoulder, two-way traffic and a temporary ban on the circulation of vehicles with height greater than four meters.
In the Lisbon – Odivelas direction, there will be a narrowing of the carriageway on Avenida Padre Cruz, “with the removal of the two-way traffic and a temporary ban on the circulation of vehicles”, over four meters high. According to the statement, on August 29, 30 and 31 and on September 19, 20 and 21, the road will be completely closed.
In the opposite direction, there will also be the removal of hard shoulder and the creation of a bifurcation zone from one to two lanes, with drivers going either to Entrecampos or to the 2nd Circular. This direction also provides for cuts in the carriageway on the 5, 6 and 7 of September and on the, 4 and 5 of October.
Traffic cuts will only occur during the night, between 11 P.M and 5 A.M.
