“Mainland Portugal will continue to be under the influence
of a flow from the south quadrant associated with a vast pressure system
located in the North Atlantic, which gives rise to very cloudy skies, frequent
precipitation and mild temperatures”, reported the IPMA.
“Periods of more intense precipitation and urban floods” are
predicted along with “above normal rainfall levels, with values above 60 mm
in most of the central and northern regions, in particular in Minho and Douro
Litoral, where they may be in the order of 150 mm”.
The south of the country will be less affected by the
weather, with weekly values between 20 and 50 mm.
The IPMA highlighted, however, that the maximum temperature
will remain mild: between only 20 and 25°C throughout the country – the minimum
temperature will be between 11 and 17°C.
