According to the City of Setúbal, Condé Nast Traveler published, in November, the article “The best places to go in Europe in 2025”, in which it included the Portuguese destination, which it considers “a hidden gem”, with “nature at its core in it’s purest state”, castles and “excellent wines”.

“The article points out that, among other attractions, Arrábida has a “dramatic” coastline, with limestone slopes, Mediterranean vegetation and golden sand beaches, with isolated coves, also pointing out places where it is possible to participate in cheese production workshops”, indicates the information released by the city hall.

The Arrábida Natural Park is described as “the dream of nature enthusiasts”, who have the possibility of diving in the Professor Luiz Saldanha Marine Park, hiking through the Serra da Arrábida, seeing dolphins in the Sado estuary or bird watching at Moinho de Maré da Mourisca.

In addition to Arrábida, Condé Nast Traveler also placed Marseille (France), Albania, Faroe Islands, Athens Riviera (Greece), Geneva (Switzerland), Vienna (Austria), Sussex (United Kingdom), Ahr Valley (Germany), Matarraña (Spain) and County Clare (Ireland) among the best destinations to visit in 2025.

Like Condé Nast Traveller, Forbes also highlighted Arrábida, in the article “Enjoy A Blend Of Nature And Culture In Portugal’s Arrábida Nature Park”, in which it considers that Arrábida has “a stunning coastal landscape with extensive activities”.

This North American magazine specialising in economic matters highlights that Arrábida “is a 30-minute drive from Lisbon, which makes it easy to add it to any trip to Portugal”, and reminds that the Natural Park is a candidate for the status of Reserve of the UNESCO Biosphere.

“It offers visitors access to pristine sandy beaches, turquoise waters, lush forests and authentic cultural experiences. Surprisingly, despite its grandeur of towering limestone cliffs, secret coves and mountainous roads, its accessibility is its greatest asset – in a single day, one can easily manage a half-day beach trip, cheese-making classes and tastings of wine (not to mention a morning walk for the more ambitious)”, says the Forbes article, published this December.

According to Setúbal City Council, the magazine also gives tips on hotels, wine and cheese producers, tile painting and other places to visit, such as Mercado do Livramento, in Setúbal.
