According to a report by CNN Portugal, the drone was detected between the Alcântara and Campolide area.

According to a source at NAV, the entity responsible for air traffic management, operations at the airport were suspended for one hour for "air navigation safety reasons" and caused delays in landings. The operation was normalised at 11:27.

At least eight flights diverted to other national airports and flights were suspended from landing for an hour which has led to delays however the airport is now back to normal.
