In a statement, MAI states that this investment will be made within the scope of the Law on Infrastructure and Equipment Programming for Security Forces and Services, with 24 protocols having been signed today between the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Internal Administration and the National Republican Guard and the Public Security Police.
“The signed protocols will allow the security forces to carry out investments considered to be priorities and urgent, namely a set of essential repairs as a result of recent bad weather, in several GNR and PSP facilities, with these security forces assuming, for the first time, the condition of being directly responsible for their implementation”, indicates the MAI.
In total, according to the ministry, 15 GNR facilities and 9 PSP facilities will be rehabilitated in the municipalities of Aljustrel, Alter do Chão, Aveiro, Bragança, Cascais (Estoril), Chaves, Fornos de Algodres, Gouveia, Guimarães, Lisbon, Marinha Grande, Setúbal, Sintra, Valença, Vila Nova de Gaia and Viseu.
