The race, which will count towards the National Powerboat Championship, is made up of one heat on Saturday, starting at 3pm, and two on Sunday, starting at 10am, with the official prize giving ceremony taking place at 5:30pm.

In an interview on the Youtube channel Alberto Granja after the 1st round in Luzim, Portuguese Powerboat Federation president Paulo Ferreira called Lagoa a "fantastic destination", highlighting how supportive the local crowd is.

After dominant victories in their respective categories, pilots Lino Araujo, Miguel Martins and Matteo Valente are looking to secure their ultimate place in the Aquabike championship and score good points for the Powerboat series.


The organisers also hope that they’ll put on a good show and inspire the youth to pursue a racing career in aquatic motorsport through their Formula Futuro program for kids aged 8-16 to practice in the field.
