Smoking ban

This summer, L’Alfas Del Pi will introduce a smoking ban at L’Albir Beach as part of its ongoing campaign to become a benchmark for healthy international tourism.

As restrictions were implemented on Benidorm’s Levante and Poniente beaches last summer, it’s the latest Alicante province beach to prohibit smoking in recent years.

Vincente Arques, Mayor of l'Alfàs del Pi, made the announcement during the launch of the "Vive l'Alfàs Saludable" initiative, promoting a healthier coastline and improving public spaces.

Just stop giving privilege to smokers. It is not fair that you cannot sit in an outdoor area without someone thinking they have a right to smoke there. My breathing does nothing to their health. Europe is the worst place ever to avoid smokers. Then if you ask them to not sit next to you or please wait or not smoke, you get anger, disgust, they blow smoke in your direction. It is like I am in the wrong!!!! Just enforce no smoking and designate an area away from the outdoor seating or crowds for the to smoke. Look at japan.

In response to Mitchell's comment above , do you think all cars should be banned from being near you also ? You do understand benzene is more toxic than cigarettes right ?
