"Every year we try to take an x-ray of what Portuguese music is today, of all styles, dimensions and various generations", the festival's co-producer, Vasco Sacramento, told Lusa.

The eighth edition of the festival will have until Saturday a series of concerts, gatherings, gastronomy and the participation of more than 60 artists.

At the presentation of the event held in Lisbon at the end of July, the mayor of Faro, Rogério Bacalhau, highlighted the idea of a "celebration of Portuguese music", in a historical and natural setting, due to its proximity to the Ria Formosa.

On the first day of the festival, which coincides with City Day, performances are expected from D. A. M. A., Calema, Slow J, Maro, Mimicat, Supa Squad, Buruntuma, Clube Makumba and Eu.Clides.

On the second day there will be performances from Mariza, Bispo, Jafumega, David Bruno, Tó Trips and You Can't Win Charlie Brown.

On the third and final day, Pedro Abrunhosa, Bárbara Tinoco, Plutónio, Ricardo Ribeiro, Fogo Fogo, Silk Nobre, Noiserv and José Pinhal Post Mortem Experience will perform.


The maximum capacity of the festival, which brings together natural, historical, musical and industrial heritage, is once again fixed at 24,000 people.

Festival F is an initiative of the Municipality of Faro, in co-production with Sons em Trânsito.
