The most delicious national event is about to begin. From the 1st to the 17th of March, from Friday to Sunday, we will combine Chocolate, a premium ingredient, with the main businesses of our country and we will celebrate Portugal. This edition, inspired by the tangible and intangible heritage classified by UNESCO in Portugal, will create a new habit in our country: the true consumption of chocolate.
The presence of the best national and international chefs, a team of true experts in the art of working chocolate, the opportunity to find chocolate coated in its multiple potentialities and the reviving of traditions, habits and symbols of Portuguese Culture will make this visit a unique sensory experience.
Chocolate will be present in different modalities, with live sculptures being one of the programmes highlights. Here, different national and international chefs will be creating chocolate works inspired by elements of "Portugal", with the skill, creativity and technique that only chocolatiers can.
Chocolate will also be presented in show cooking sessions, the demonstrations will be carried out by chefs from well-known restaurants, as well as pastry chefs and students from different national and international training institutes.
It will also be an essential ingredient in courses and competitions and will be displayed in the most diverse forms at the points of sale scattered throughout the venue. Chocoholics will delight in the array of chocolate delights from bonbons to drageias de chocolate, cakes and chocolate bars as well as drinks and even snacks from the variety of exhibitors present.
For the little ones, there is a totally dedicated area, where fun and knowledge come together in a "hands-on" workshop, which will bring together the best of childhood: play and chocolate.
Visitors also have the opportunity to learn about the production process of the "Cocoa Bean to Chocolate Bar", to taste the union of chocolate with its precious companions: wine, coffee and beer, as well as many other fun and tasty ways to get to know this delicacy that our country has adopted.
Óbidos will celebrate Portugal... with Chocolate as its main ingredient!
