After a nine-year campaign led by a woman who was fined for peeing in public, Amsterdam has pledged €4 million to build an as-yet-unspecified number of public toilets for women and disabled people.

"It doesn't only affect women, but also people in wheelchairs", said Geerte Piening, who led the campaign after being fined. "It's really important that there are places for everyone."
A urinal is very specific sanitary fixture used STANDING ONLY, and therefor by MEN ONLY. Women do not use urinals, neither do people in wheelchairs. Both use TOILETS.
