“As is normal in these situations, we were alerted by the airport to have emergency services ready in case something serious happened, but the situation was resolved without the need to deploy any resources,” said the source from the Sub-Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command of the Porto Metropolitan Area (CDOS).

The incident occurred this afternoon and forced Alert Level 1 to be activated at Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, with a view to an emergency landing.

The aircraft managed to land safely, without damage and without any injuries, according to the same source.
