The inflation rate in Germany during the month of August rose by only 1.9% compared to prices this time last year, the slowest rate in over three years.

According to a report, energy prices, including for diesel and gasoline, dropped over the year, while food prices rose at below the average rate.
Out of all sectors, only prices in services rose at an above-average rate.
