The Moche Culture, often overshadowed by the Inca Empire, is already recognised by its impressive architecture and artistry, however, these findings have shed light on their societal structure, revealing the significant role women may have played in leadership.

In July, recently uncovered mural paintings depict a unique scene featuring a whole workshop of women engaged in spinning and weaving. Additionally, there’s a procession of men carrying textiles alongside the crown of a female leader, which is adorned with her braids.
