TAAG Airlines Highlights the Evening with Top Prize
Among the evening’s standout moments was the presentation of the top prize: a round trip to South Africa, courtesy of TAAG, Angola’s national airline. The award underscored the airline’s dedication to connecting nations while promoting its strategic vision for growth.

TAAG recently began transitioning its operations to the state-of-the-art Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport in Luanda. The phased move, initiated in November 2024 with high-traffic domestic routes and is set to conclude by early 2025. This relocation marks a significant milestone for Angola’s aviation industry, enhancing TAAG’s capacity to serve as a bridge between regional and global destinations.

Supporting the Community: Gifts for Children in Need
The Christmas Gala’s festive atmosphere was complemented by a poignant mission: providing gifts for underprivileged children. Attendees contributed generously, with donations directed to Casa de Acolhimento “Os Miúdos,” a children’s shelter in Loulé, Algarve. The initiative highlighted CCILSA’s commitment to fostering community resilience and solidarity.

Strengthening South Africa-Portugal Relations

Earlier this year, Manuela Robinson traveled to South Africa to meet with key stakeholders, including the South African Portuguese Chamber of Commerce (SAPCC). These discussions, spanning Johannesburg, Pretoria, and Cape Town, centered on upcoming collaborative ventures such as business delegations and trade missions planned for 2025.

Manuela’s visit also included a meeting with the Portuguese Consul in Cape Town, Jorge Teixeira de Sampayo, emphasizing CCILSA’s role in fostering bilateral trade and cultural exchange. These engagements have strengthened the chamber’s capacity to create meaningful opportunities for businesses on both sides.
