In 64th place in the ranking, relative to 2024, is the Lisbon Marathon, which has already been held for 38 editions, followed by the Porto Marathon, in 93rd place, with the race in Aveiro entering 95th place, after being 155th in 2023, shortly after of the inaugural edition in 2019.

“The classification of the Europa Marathon as one of the 100 best races in the world is a huge honour for the Aveiro City Council. (...) We want to enhance the marathon in terms of quality and participation”, declared the mayor of Aveiro, José Ribau Esteves, quoted in a statement.
