To avoid the risk of paying too much or losing deductions, DECO PROTeste has prepared information with the dates that you should not forget.
We start with February 17th. By this date, "you must confirm any change in domicile that occurred in 2024". In addition, you must also "communicate the sharing of expenses of dependents in joint custody".
Another important date in the same month is the 25th. You have until February 25th to "validate expenses on the e-Fatura portal. You can log in with your NIF and access password or with the digital mobile key", reminds DECO PROTeste. Outstanding invoices "must be validated one by one" and "the process must be repeated for each member of the household, including children".
Between March 15 and 31, there is a deadline "to consult the amounts determined for deduction in the IRS on the e-invoice, namely for expenses incurred in health and education services, and housing expenses (rent and interest) and with nursing homes".
Finally, between April 1st and June 30th you must submit your Income Tax return for your 2024 income. It must "be submitted online".
Please note that "there are many taxpayers who can already file their automatic IRS return". This is the case for taxpayers with income from dependent work or pensioners.
After submitting your Income Tax return, "you can check the status of your return on the Tax Authority portal". Please be aware that it is important that you make this inquiry, as there may be "errors to correct, which may delay a possible refund." If the declaration is considered 'Correct' and you are entitled to a refund, the Federal Revenue Service (AT) has until August 31 to return the Income Tax.
