A concert featuring the music of pianist and composer Svetlana Bakushina, originally from Siberia and now based in the Algarve. A fusion of sounds inspired by folk traditions from various cultures, blended with jazz, classical music, and progressive rock.

A quintet of voice, piano, cello, drums, and saxophone, with some unexpected instruments, including a toy piano and a modular synthesizer. The concert is supported by Antena 2 radio.


Svetlana Bakushina Fusion Project – a group that has already captivated audiences with sold-out concerts in the Algarve – presents original compositions known for their complexity and improvisational elements.


tlana Bakushina leads the band, joined by Mexican cellist Seibas Gamboa and Portuguese drummer Jorge Carrilho, forming the core of the project. For this concert, they will be joined by special guests, including Chilean singer Katherine Valenzuela and saxophonist Daniel Marques. German artist Marc Mennigmann will also be performing on modular synthesizer, adding an extra layer of sonic experimentation.
