In the month in which Mobi.e, the public electric charging network, recorded a 47% increase in the number of users - compared to February 2024 - the number of charging stations is close to almost 6,000.
According to Mobi.e, "infrastructure has kept pace with the growth in demand."
At the end of February, the public charging network offered 5,976 stations, which corresponds to 11,083 charging points (sockets that can be charging simultaneously).
Of these, more than 2,270 were fast or ultra-fast charging (with power greater than 22 kW), representing 38% of the total network.
Also according to data provided by the public electric charging network, there are, on average, 90 sockets per 100 kilometers of road and 122 sockets per 100,000 inhabitants.
None of the stations charge at the speed they are advertised at.
In the last 3 days I have yet to be able to find a station in the Lisbon area which is 100% functional and working. The future has arrived in Portugal but sadly the businesses in Portugal are still stuck in the dark ages with false advertising, thievery and customer service zero to none.
