In this 8th edition, the Algarve region received nine Five Star Awards: five regional icons and four local brands of excellence. This year's winners in the district of Faro are: Silves Castle (Silves), Praia da Rocha (Portimão), Seafood Festival (Olhão), Odeleite Dam (Castro Marim) and Castro Marim..

This prestigious award distinguishes emblematic elements of the regions, such as beaches, villages and towns, monuments and traditional festivities. But also local brands that stand out for their quality, reliability and innovation.

For the 2025 edition, the categories of Beaches, Reserves, Villages/Towns, Monuments, Festivals, Pilgrimages and Museums were the most valued by the Portuguese. The edition demonstrates that Portugal has breathtaking natural heritage, as well as history.

At a national level, 100 regional icons and 141 local brands stood out for their quality and excellence throughout the national territory. In all, the brand thus recognises 241 winners, who represents the best that each region of Portugal has to offer.

The selection of the winners involved a rigorous evaluation process, with the participation of 498,660 consumers, who analysed more than 1,022 brands. Of these, only 141 achieved Five Star status, that is, just over 13% of the total analysed. This is, therefore, the demonstration of its excellence, through broad public recognition by almost half a million people, as well as the methodological rigor that governs what is the best national evaluation system.
