From May to July, the programme includes a mix of indoor and outdoor events, aiming to engage diverse communities and showcase artistic variety.

TMB director João Cristiano Cunha said that their goal is to reach the public that is more reluctant to come to the theatre and offer them meaningful cultural experiences. Under the initiative O Artista Vai à Escola, artists will perform in schools, while events like Em Forma de Pera will be hosted in unique venues such as the Church of São Francisco. This concert, featuring mandolinist David Rodrigues and harpsichordist Tadeu Filipe, takes place on 29 June and promises an eclectic musical journey through works by Scarlatti, Vivaldi, and Beethoven.

The Música na Paisagem series also returns earlier than usual, launching on 14 and 15 June in the Montesinho Natural Park. Highlights include performances by violinists Matilde Loureiro and pianist Jun Boutery-Ishido, who reside locally and will interpret pieces by Bach, Haydn, and Batók.

The theatre’s summer line-up includes school theatre groups, Bragança’s Conservatory of Music and Dance, and the Coral Brigantino. Major productions include the Queen tribute show Remember Queen in June and A Casa dos Pais, starring Albano Jerónimo, in July.

National acts such as Samuel Úria (9 July) and Barcelona Flamenco Ballet’s take on Carmen (12 July) add to the rich programme. The season concludes with the Gulbenkian Orchestra’s debut in Bragança on 18 July.

With tickets priced between €2 and €11, 29 shows across 53 sessions are scheduled. TMB reached an impressive 92.8% occupancy rate in early 2025.
