The districts of Bragança, Porto, Vila Real, Viana do Castelo and Braga will be under a yellow warning between 12pm and 6pm today.
The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) has also placed the Madeira archipelago under a yellow warning due to the forecast of showers, sometimes heavy, accompanied by thunderstorms and possibly in the form of hail between 10 am and 6 pm on Saturday.
The IPMA predicts periods of very cloudy skies and showers on the continent today, especially in the North and Centre, which could be accompanied by thunderstorms.
A small drop in maximum temperatures is also expected in the North and Centre interior.
Minimum temperatures will range between 05 degrees Celsius (in Guarda) and 13 (in Porto) and maximum temperatures between 13 (in Guarda) and 21 (in Faro, Beja and Santarém).
For the Madeira archipelago, the IPMA predicts skies with periods of heavy cloudiness, rain or showers from the afternoon onwards, which may be intense and accompanied by thunderstorms at the end of the day.
In Funchal, temperatures will vary between 16 and 22 degrees and in Porto Santo between 15 and 22 degrees.
