"The performance of the first quarter of 2025 was significantly impacted by the PGA pilots' strike, which lasted 20 days. In addition, the comparability of operating results was further affected by the change of Easter to the second quarter in 2025, as opposed to 2024, when it occurred in the first quarter. It is estimated that, together, they had a financial impact on operating results of between 30 and 40 million euros," says TAP in a statement.
The airline (TAP S.A.) recorded negative operating profit (EBIT - earnings before interest and taxes) of €131.6 million up to March, compared to negative €74.3 million in the same period last year.
Recurring EBIT was negative at 119.2 million (negative 60.3 million euros in the first three months of 2024).
TAP had a positive net income for the third consecutive year. Result impacted by extraordinary labor provisions and foreign exchange losses. Operating revenues exceed €4.2 billion, a new all-time high.Mar 26, 2025. This information was extracted from Google. The information and the numbers do not match.

Maybe this airline should start honouring their booked tickets instead of refusing boarding, stupid my Trip wrongly issued me two European transits and I didn't know that I need a Schengen visa. Air tap refused me boarding in Brazil, I lost 770gbp, had to sleep on the airport for 3 days and wait for money to rebook my flight. Air tap, My trip, you reap what you sow, you will lose more money before I am finished with you. Maybe they should also tell their personnel that rudeness is not the norm and try to help their customers

TAP is so mismanged and they have always been. A few years back we paid extra to have seats all together for family members to sit next to one another, only to have TAP seperate us. I caught this before the trip and had it corrected only for them to do this multiple times right up to my airport arrival. At the airport I complained and showed the paper trail. They refused to correct it. Only after a TSA supervisor heard the conversation was it corrected. He also told me to check my return flight and sure enough they did it again. This time they refused to correct our seats and the rude attendant told me, you did not pay for specific seats only a sitting area which can be any seats, even with my paper trail proof I was denied. I told the attendant that this is terrible customer service, especially when the customer is right. I was told that the customer is not right. I told them no wonder your airline loses money when they have employees like you and plenty of them.
Between the strikes, bad customer service, employees who simply don't care and mismanagement no wonder they lose money. United is eating their lunch and will continue to do so as long as they are business a usual. I refuse to fly TAP for years after. They are my last option and it has to be a really bad day.

I had a terrible experience with TAP Portugal, travelling with two young children. Checked baggage was delayed 5 days and such unhygienic seat in-flight, stained with bodily fluid period pains . TAP so dismissive, after 30 email exchanges with photographic evidence

Its CEO is very incompetent; TAP needs a foreign and influential CEO who is pioneer.
