Thailand is planning a bid to host a Formula One street race in Bangkok by 2028 and will pursue cabinet approval for its proposal soon.

Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, who attended the Monaco Grand Prix last weekend, will propose a “Sustainable F1” with a focus on attracting investment in green technology alongside motorsport.
The country has previous experience hosting a round of the MotoGP World Championships at its FIA-accredited track in Buriram.
