This is according to a report from the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development. In Portugal, the proportion of people of working age who were actually in work rose 0.7 of a percentage point in the third quarter of last to 65.6 percent.
In both Spain and Ireland, the same rate was up half a point, to 59.8 percent and 65.1 percent respectively.
The euro zone as a whole saw employment rise to 65.5 percent.
